Based in Des Moines, Iowa, EMC National Life Company (EMCNL), an affiliate of EMC Insurance Companies (EMC), offers quality life insurance products for the individual and workplace markets.
EMCNL sells its products solely through independent insurance agencies in 48 states and the District of Columbia. We believe our partnership with independent agents brings a superior level of personalized service to the insurance process. We demonstrate our commitment to the independent agency system by focusing on Making Life Easy.
EMC has a network of 21 branch and service offices throughout the country, giving EMCNL the advantage of being close to our customers and the agility to respond to each area's market needs and business climate. Our expanded Life Sales Representative (LSR) system provides direct property/casualty agent support to all of EMC's branch offices, which, in turn, allows us to provide localized support and superior service to our customers. In addition, our Regional Sales Director (RSD) system uses select independent agents to manage life-only agents in defined geographic regions and offer sales and administration assistance.
EMCNL has established itself as a leader in shaping online technology for the life insurance industry. Not only are we at the forefront with online application capabilities, but we also continue to add new online services and enhance existing services for our agents and policyowners. Our innovative technology is helping build momentum by making it easier for our customers to do business with us in almost every way.
Agent Access offers an easy, secure way for agents to submit online applications, access necessary reports, view underwriting requirements and download commission statements. Through our dedicated policyowner website, policyowners can find quick, convenient and secure answers to their policy questions and access policy information, including benefit amount, fund values, policy effective dates, beneficiary designations and much more.
EMC National Life Company was formed on July 1, 2003, with the merger of Employers Modern Life Company and National Travelers Life Company.
