The Electronic Access Agreement provides a brief description of the measures EMCNL has taken to secure electronic information on the secure areas of our website.  This Agreement also outlines the requirements agents, policyowners and employer business partners must follow to safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of personal information accessed through the secure areas of our website.
ELECTRONIC ACCESS AGREEMENT
1. This Agreement appears and must be agreed to the first time an agent, policyowner or employer business partner signs on to use the secure areas of EMCNationalLife.com, and, annually thereafter.
2. You will not be allowed access to the secure areas of EMCNationalLife.com until this Agreement has been read and accepted.
3. The secure areas of EMCNationalLife.com use Secure Socket Layer encryption technology to protect transmitted information from being intercepted while it is in transit over the internet.  Firewalls and other access control systems and processes are used to keep information secure from unauthorized access.
4. Access to the secure areas of EMCNationalLife.com is password protected.  You are to choose a password that cannot be easily guessed.  It is your responsibility to keep your password confidential.
5. You agree to review and comply with EMCNL’s Internet Privacy Policy.
6. Authorized users are not permitted access to nonpublic, personally-identifiable information that does not pertain to their applicable account(s).  You will not share such information except as necessary to effect, administer or enforce an application or policy transaction.
7. You will immediately notify EMCNL of any unauthorized use of your password, unauthorized use of EMCNationalLife.com or in the event of any nonpublic, personally-identifiable information that is misdirected, lost or stolen.
8. You understand that if you violate the requirements of this Electronic Access Agreement, EMC National Life Company has the right to end your access privileges to the secure areas of EMCNationalLife.com and may take further disciplinary and/or legal action.
